The work consists of constructing a baseball field and a 52-space parking lot. The principal items of work to be constructed along with approximate quantities are as follows: Excavation, Unclassified, 2,165 Cubic Yards; Topsoiling, 6’ Thick, 2.3 Acres; Dome Backstop, 1 Unit; Chain Link Fence, 7’ High, 355 Linear Feet; Dense Graded Aggregate Base Course, 4” Thick, 585 Ton. Bids must be made on Standard Proposal Forms in the manner designated therein and required by the Specifications, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes, bearing the name and address of the bidder and name of the Project on the outside, addressed to the 'Township Administrator' for the Township of Wantage and clearly marked on the outside 'BID FOR PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF LITTLE LEAGUE FIELD AND PARKING LOT AT PAPAKATING PARK,' and must be accompanied by a notarized Non-Collusion Affidavit; Consent of Surety; Disclosure Statement; Bid Document Submission Checklist; Certified Check or Bid Bond for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, provided said check or bid bond need not be more than $20,000.00 nor shall it be less than $500.00; Business Registration Certificate for the bidder and proposed subcontractors; Statement of Corporate Ownership; listing of Subcontractors as required; if applicable, Bidder’s Acknowledgment of Receipt of any Notice(s) of Revision(s) or Addenda to an Advertisement, Specifications, or Bid Documents; and be delivered at the place on or before the hour named. The Standard Proposal Form, Non-Collusion Affidavit, and Disclosure Statement are attached to the Supplementary Specifications, copies of which will be furnished upon application to the Township Engineer. The delivery or non-delivery of the bid proposal is the sole responsibility of the bidder. Bidders are required to comply with the provisions of the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law and the requirements of the Public Works Contractor Registration Act. Bidders are required to comply with "The Law Against Discrimination" and Affirmative Action requirements. The Township Committee reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof.
