Separate sealed bids are requested for the construction of Water and Wastewater Improvements to LA Highway 583, Contract 1 Water Distribution Mains. Bidders must submit their bids to the Town of Rayville at the office of the Engineer, Meyer, Meyer, LaCroix & Hixson, Inc. If mailed, the bid envelope must be enclosed in another envelope addressed to the Town of Rayville, c/o Meyer, Meyer, LaCroix & Hixson, Inc. Bidding documents can only be obtained from the Engineers office at a non-refundable cost, and prime bidders are required to obtain these documents directly. Each bid must include bid security of 5 percent of the bidders maximum bid price in the form of a certified check, cashiers check, or bid bond. The winning bidder must secure a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each for 100% of the contract amount, with bonds executed by sureties named in U.S. Department of the Treasury Circular 570. Bonds signed by agents or attorneys-in-fact must be accompanied by certified authority to bind the surety. Bidders may not withdraw bids for 45 days after opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause in accordance with Louisiana R.S. 38:2214B. Question Deadline 05/20/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing.Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered
