The Town of Northfield seeks to retain the services of a general Contractor for the construction of a stormwater Best Management Practice (BMP). The stormwater improvements involve the installation of 16 ADS StormTech SC-800 chambers in the bottom of an existing retention basin located north of the Cabot Hosiery Mills facility at 364 Whetstone Drive. A. Contract Type: Lump Sum as stated in the Agreement. B. The work consists of the construction of the Bean Business Park Stormwater Improvement Project. Including the following: 1. Construction of an underground infiltration chamber practice including all necessary piping, and landscaping, as described within and as identified on the plans. C. The work generally includes the construction and/or installation of the project components, located in the vicinity of Town of Northfield, all appurtenant structures, items, and incidental work as shown on the drawings and as specified herein. 1. The work required by these specifications shall include furnishing all labor, skill, supervision, tools, construction plant, equipment, and materials; and performing all operations necessary for the properly completed contract work as shown on the drawings, as mentioned in these specifications, and as evidently required with all incidental work necessary and customarily done to the complete satisfaction of the OWNER and its authorized representative. 2. All appurtenant demolition, clearing, cleaning, sheeting, dewatering, finishing, landscaping, paving and restoration (roads, sidewalks, and curbs) is part of this work.
