The project includes the phased replacement of two existing 2005 model STERIS steam sterilizers with new like-for-like STERIS steam sterilizers within the Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) room. One sterilizer must remain fully operational at all times, with uninterrupted access for MDR operations throughout construction. Steam sterilizers will be procured and installed by Interior Health through STERIS. The scope of work includes demolition, disconnection, and removal of the existing steam sterilizers and all associated mechanical and electrical services; patching and restoration of all affected walls, floors, ceilings, and penetrations to match existing finishes; provision and installation of new steam, condensate return, cold water, gravity drain, electrical power, control, data, and mechanical services required for the new sterilizers, including modifications to existing services and installation of fire stopping at all fire-rated assemblies. The project also includes installation of an HVAC split system and all other related work.
