Renovation of a bridge / tunnel in Encampment, Wyoming. Completed plans call for the renovation of a bridge / tunnel.

The work site is located 15 miles west of Encampment, WY and is designated as AML Project 68-NC, Ferris Haggarty Tunnel Rehabilitation Project Phase I. The project will reclaim hazards and environmental degradation associated with historic underground copper mining. The estimated cost of the work is $2.25-2.75 Million and the contract duration will be one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days. Bidders must submit electronic bids via the Wyoming State Construction Public Purchase online bidding system. Each bid is required to have a Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid. The successful bidder must furnish Performance and Payment bonds each at one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Instructions specify registration at the state construction bidding website, attendance at a mandatory pre-bid meeting and on-site tour, and adherence to all submittal requirements, including proper upload of bid and bond documents. The bid meeting and on-site tour are mandatory for all prospective bidders. Bidders must supply their own off-road capable vehicle for the on-site tour. The purpose of the tour is to familiarize all bidders with the locations and aspects of the work and allow questions regarding the scope. Bidders are responsible for reviewing contract documents to fully inform themselves about the work's extent and character. Only electronic submittals via the designated online system will be accepted. Incomplete or late submittals will be rejected. Bids from those who do not attend the mandatory meeting or tour, or fail to properly sign in or remain for the duration, will be rejected. If the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract, the bid bond will be forfeited as liquidated damages. Pre-qualification information must show at least three similar projects involving historic tunnel rehabilitation using the steel set method completed in the past ten years, with details on project name, location, scope, cost, and owner and engineer contacts. Additional information may be requested to determine the bidder's ability to perform the work. Failure to promptly supply requested information may result in disqualification as unresponsive. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. This work shall consist offurnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the rehabilitation ofthe first 420' ofthe Osceola Tunnel with the first 220' being a Steel Set with Lagging and the subsequent 200' being a bolted and meshed system.
