The work to be done under the Contract, in accordance with the Contract Documents, consists of performing, installing, furnishing and supplying all materials, equipment, labor and incidentals necessary or convenient for the construction of Project Number 26MG0423-D000947, titled Women's Softball Backstop Replacement and carry out all of the duties and obligations imposed upon the Contractor by the Contract Documents. The main features of the work shall include, but not be limited to the following: The purpose of this project is to remove and replace the existing backstop fence at the Women's Softball Field located within the Field House Complex at SUNY Plattsburgh. The current backstop does not meet NCAA dimensional and safety requirements, which prevents the University from hosting NCAA postseason tournaments. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) SDVOB Goal: 6.00% Minority / Women Business Enterprise contracting goals (MWBE) MBE Goal: 11.00% WBE Goal: 19.00% The project involves the replacement of the Women's Softball Backstop at SUNY Plattsburgh. Sealed bids for the project will be accepted, and all work must be completed by October 15, 2026. Bids must be submitted according to the instructions in the Information for Bidders, and each bid must include security in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid. There is an emphasis on encouraging participation from minority and women business enterprises, as well as service-disabled veteran-owned businesses.
