Site work, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Traverse City, Michigan. Completed plans call for the expansion of a bridge / tunnel, playground / park / athletic field and sidewalk / parking lot.
The construction will include portions of new 8-foot and 10-foot wide trail and rehabilitation and enhancement to existing 8-foot and 10-foot wide sections of trail. Trail improvements include the following: approximately 3,000 linear feet of new 8-foot and 10-foot wide crushed gravel trail, approximately 3,000 linear feet of rehabilitated 8-foot and 10-foot wide crushed gravel trail, and approximately 600 linear feet of prefabricated boardwalk sections including a small stream crossing with safety railings. A prefabricated pedestrian foot bridge is also part of the scope. Trail construction includes all associated earthwork, rest areas and amenities, timber retaining walls, riparian controls, culverts, SESC controls, and restoration with native vegetation.
