The work to be done consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to construct the proposed FY 2026 LMIG for Roadway Resurfacing as shown on the construction drawings. In general, construction consists of resurfacing, patching, full depth reclamation, and striping of approximately 3.10 miles of roadway at 9 locations and all associated measures for the complete project. Time allotted for completion of work is 120 consecutive calendar days to substantial completion. Work shall be complete and ready for contract close-out with 134 consecutive calendar days. All work shall be completed in accordance with the specifications. The work will be awarded in one contract. Any Contractor submitting a bid must be a pre-qualified Georgia Department of Transportation Contractor. License numbers must be written on the face of the bid envelope. No bid will be opened unless the license number is clearly shown. Prequalification may be required of bidders prior to the award of contract. At the owner's request, detailed written evidence such as financial data, bonding capacity, previous experience, present commitments, and similar data may be necessary to assist the owner in determining contractor qualifications. All bid forms must be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified cashier’s check in an amount not less than ten percent of the amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract amount. All qualifying contractors and subcontractors must register and participate in the federal work authorization program (E-Verify) to verify the work eligibility information of new employees. The Bidder’s Affidavit of Compliance must be completed and submitted with the bid. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
