The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to construct the FY 2025 LMIG SAP – Safety Action Plan as shown on the construction drawings. In general, construction consists of striping and signage of approximately ± 49 miles of County Roadway and all associated measures for the complete project. The time allotted for completion is 120 consecutive calendar days to substantial completion, with final completion and contract close-out due within 134 consecutive calendar days. All work must comply with the specifications and will be awarded as one contract. Any contractor submitting a bid must be a pre-qualified Georgia Department of Transportation Contractor with the license number shown on the bid envelope. Prequalification may be required prior to contract award, and documentation such as financial data, bonding capacity, previous experience, and present commitments may be required. Bid forms must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or certified cashier’s check for at least ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. The successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. All qualifying contractors and subcontractors must register and participate in the E-Verify program, and the Bidder’s Affidavit of Compliance must be submitted with the bid. The contract is funded by the Georgia Department of Transportation and Local Maintenance & Improvement Grant (LMIG). The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and re-advertise as necessary.
