The Town of Williamston is seeking a licensed general contractor to provide construction, renovation, and repair services for the renovation of part of Town Hall. The project involves a complete remodel of the area known as the 'Old Police Department Training Room and Kitchen,' including the renovation of a meeting space, hallway, kitchen, and the installation of a bathroom. The scope of work includes supplying all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and disposal necessary to complete the renovation following all applicable codes, including ADA standards, NC Building Codes, and manufacturer installation requirements. The contractor must coordinate with the Owner to maintain safe access to adjacent areas and protect existing utilities, adjacent finishes, and occupied spaces from dust, debris, and damage. Tasks include demolition, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC, flooring, painting, conversion of an evidence storage room into a restroom, modification and replacement of flooring, repainting and resurfacing of walls, electrical upgrades in the kitchen, addition or replacement of kitchen appliances, cabinets, and countertops, hallway work including painting and doorway reframing, ceiling installation to match the space, and replacement of doorways for improved safety and appearance.
