Site work and new construction of a medical facility in Stony Brook, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a medical facility.
The work consists of performing, installing, furnishing, and supplying all materials, equipment, labor, and incidentals necessary or convenient for the construction of the Emerging Infectious Diseases Suite Construction – HVAC Package. The scope includes mechanical, electrical, automatic controls, structural, and affiliated work as outlined in the project documents. This includes replacing HVAC equipment, new installation with roof penetrations and structural work, ductwork, diffusers, humidification, fire dampers, control systems, and related items. The electrical work is limited to the requirements necessary for the mechanical scope’s complete functionality. Construction will be completed in a single phase, ensuring unrelated areas remain operational throughout. Bids must be submitted in triplicate using forms provided. Bidding documents will only be provided electronically upon written request. Bids must be sealed, marked with the bidder’s name, address, project title, and number. Interested prime contractors must attend the mandatory site visit to be eligible to submit a bid. Subcontractors and suppliers are encouraged, but not required, to attend. Bidders must meet specific qualification requirements, including successful completion of three similar contracts in the past five years. All bidders are required to submit various certifications and plans, including bid bonds, lists of subcontractors, project schedules, and documentation of compliance with NYS Department of Labor registration and prevailing wage requirements, as well as MWBE and SDVOB utilization plans. LEED Silver standard documentation is required for materials as applicable. All required forms and certifications must accompany the bid submission, and compliance with NYS Finance Law and Labor Law requirements is mandatory. RFI's (Request for Information - Technical Questions) All Bidders’ questions must be submitted in writing, citing the particular IFB page, section, and paragraph number where applicable to Michael.Dillon@Stonybrookmedicine.edu by May 15th, 2026, 4:00 PM. Questions received after the closing date for inquiries will not be answered. All questions must be relevant to the Bidder’s response to this IFB SDVOB Goal: 6.00%
