Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Stanton, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The project involves the rehabilitation of the Bowen Tank (632,000 gallons) as part of the Stanton Water Improvements Project Phase 2, Contract #1. The work includes application of CIM 1061 to all internal tank seams including the floor to shell connection and the exterior foundation seam, installation of cathodic protection anodes, grout and appurtenances, related work, tank interior cleaning, and foundational surrounding grade work. Bids will be received on a lump sum price basis for one contract and must include an acceptable bid bond or certified check of five percent (5%) of the bid amount. The awarded contractor must complete the project within 30 calendar days of the construction start date; liquidated damages of $750 per calendar day will be assessed for delays. Bidders must comply with various federal regulations regarding civil rights, non-discrimination, affirmative action, and are encouraged to make efforts to involve small, minority, women-owned, and disadvantaged businesses. DBEs are encouraged to bid. No bid may be withdrawn within 90 days after opening. The award will be made to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. The owner reserves the right to waive informalities or reject any or all bids.
