This project is for the construction of two pumped nutrient reduction wetlands, CAL883229BN-North and CAL883229BS-South. The work generally includes selective clearing, excavation and grading, installation of lift stations with solar powered pumps, forcemain, tile, inlet risers, water control structures, drawdown pipes, riprap, and seeding. For CAL883229BN-North, the work includes about 31,200 cubic yards of earthwork, installation of a water control structure, inlet risers, 833 linear feet of polyethylene pipe, a complete lift station with two solar powered pump systems and battery, 92 linear feet of PVC SCH-80 forcemain, 177 linear feet of CMP drawdown pipe, 330 tons of riprap and clean stone, 560 square yards of turf reinforcing mat, 472 linear feet of silt fence, and 16.6 acres of seeding. For CAL883229BS-South, the work includes about 10,300 cubic yards of earthwork, installation of a water control structure, inlet riser, 210 linear feet of polyethylene pipe, a complete lift station with solar powered pump system and battery, 27 linear feet of PVC SCH-80 forcemain, 114 linear feet of CMP drawdown pipe, 250 tons of riprap and clean stone, 395 square yards of turf reinforcing mat, 304 linear feet of silt fence, and 1.0 acres of seeding. Bids must be submitted using the provided bid forms and include a bid bond in the amount of ten percent. Bidders must be registered with the Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals & Licensing. The successful bidder is required to furnish a performance/payment bond equal to one hundred percent of the contract price.
