Site work and new construction of a transportation facility in Swainsboro, Georgia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 10-unit transportation facility.
The project involves furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment and performing all work necessary for the construction of T-Hangar Development at the East Georgia Regional Airport. The Base Bid consists of acquiring the necessary materials to construct a 10-Unit Nested T-Hangar with foundation and apron area. Additive Alternates include apron area associated with a second proposed T-Hangar, reconstruction of a taxilane, and reconstruction of associated existing apron areas. Instructions to bidders include: - Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the amount of five percent of the total amount of the bid, in the form of a bid bond made payable to the City of Swainsboro. - Bids may be held by the City of Swainsboro for up to 120 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of evaluating bids prior to award of contract. - Award of contract is subject to requirements in the contract documents, including Federal provisions for Civil Rights – Title VI Assurances. - The City of Swainsboro reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality or irregularity in the bids received. - The outside of the sealed envelope must include specific wording: "Construct T-Hangar Development; Bid Opening: June 11, 2026 at 10:00 AM EST; Attn: Jerry Cadle, Authority Chairman." - Bidders are fully responsible for the timely delivery of their bids. Late bids will not be considered.
