The project consists of grading, preparation, and construction of a new handicap-accessible parking area at Northwood Athletic Fields. The contractor is responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision required to complete the following tasks: performing site layout, removing organic material, establishing control elevations, regrading site materials, and proof-rolling the subgrade; supplying, placing, and compacting 12 inches of structural gravel, 3 inches of on-site gravel, and 3 inches of DOT-approved 3/4-inch gravel; supplying and installing 2 inches of base course asphalt and 1.5 inches of top course asphalt with proper compaction; grading and shaping adjacent areas and shoulders to ensure proper drainage and blending new work with existing grades for a smooth transition.
