This project is outlined in further detail in section four (4) of this document. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to acquire offers from various vendors, conduct a fair evaluation based on criteria listed herein, and select the candidate who best provides the County with the desired product and service. Merrimack County is a government facility that operates under the discretion of elected officials that manage county finances. Acceptance of any proposal(s) will be subject to approval by the Merrimack County Board of Commissioners. This project covers the complete removal of the existing roofing system and installation of a new custom rib (corrugated, exposed fasteners) metal roof assembly to the County's Red Barn. Work includes all labor, materials, equipment, and disposal necessary to deliver a watertight, code compliant roof system. Scope is to include but not be limited to the following Existing Roof Removal; - Remove all existing roofing materials down to the roof deck, including existing metal roof, flashings, fasteners, and debris. - Inspect the exposed roof decking for rot, delamination, or structural deficiencies. Report any deficiencies to the County's Project Coordinator. - Debris disposal -- Remove all debris from site and dispose of in accordance with local regulations. Preparation; - Install roofing tarps from the roof to the ground to prevent damage to anything on or around the barn. - Ensure deck is clean, dry, and properly fastened. - Install new 2" drip edge on entire perimeter of roof. - Install ice & water shield on all endwalls. - Install custom bent flashing on endwalls. Custom Rib Metal Roof System; - Install new custom rib metal roof panels using 2" double threaded screws with neoprene gasket. - Install new cap over panels. Cleanup & Closeout; -Site cleanup -- Remove all materials, tools, and debris from site. - Magnetic sweep -- Perform magnetic sweep to remove nails and metal fragments. Warranty documentation -- Provide manufacturer and workmanship warranties.
