Engineering services for the McLeod Building Renovations Project, part of a county capital improvement plan. Merrimack County is seeking qualified proposals for Engineering Services- McLeod Building Renovations Project at 333 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH 03303 according to the terms, conditions, and specifications of this solicitation. This project is outlined in further detail in section four (4) of this document. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to acquire offers from various vendors, conduct a fair evaluation based on criteria listed herein, and select the candidates who best provide the County with the desired product and/or service. Merrimack County is a government facility that operates under the discretion of elected officials that manage county finances. Acceptance of any proposal(s) will be subject to approval by the Merrimack County Board of Commissioners. Merrimack County has engaged SMP Architecture for the design of the renovations of the McLeod building into an 84-bed assisted living facility. The County is seeking proposals from qualified engineering firms to provide: Structural , Mechanical , Electrical , Plumbing, Fire Protection, Civil, Landscape Architecture, and Geotechnical engineering services in concert with SMP's services. The McLeod Building is located at the Merrimack County Campus on Daniel Webster Highway (US Rt-3 ), in Boscawen , NH. an estimated $47.5m project. 1. The Firms selected will: 1.1 Attend site visits to verify existing systems specific to your area of interest. 1.2 Provide services consisting of Preliminary Design Documents, Final Design Documents, assistance during Bidding or Negotiating, and Construction Phase service 1.3 Provide engineering services and stamped construction drawings and specifications. 1.4 Coordination with SMP Architecture and the rest of the selected design team. 1.5 Project revisions due to budget review and recommended scope adjustments from the construction manager. 1.6 The County seeks engineering fees proportionate to the needs for a renovation-addition. 2. Existing Conditions Assessment 2.1 The purpose of this effort is to establish an informed basis for design. As part of this initial information gathering process, the Engineer shall: 2.2 Conduct one site visit to analyze the existing building and systems. 2.3 Meet with the County Staff to review existing and proposed building MEP-FP and Tel/Data systems. 3. Construction Phase Support 3.1 Construction phase services shall be necessary for the proper implementation of the engineered design, including: 3.2 Technical review of contractor submittals 3.3 Responses to requests for information (RFIs). 3.4 Final verification that the installed system conforms to the design intent.
