Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and road / highway.
The work consists of asphalt milling and overlay of 3rd Street SW with concrete curb and gutter replacement, sidewalk replacement, and driveway/alleyway replacement, located at 3rd Street SW from 3rd Avenue to 1st Avenue. Bids shall be on a Unit Price basis. Each bidder must submit bid security as defined in Iowa Code Section 26.8, ensuring the successful bidder will enter into a contract and provide a corporate surety bond for faithful performance in an amount equal to 100% of the contract. All contractors must have in place a drug and alcohol testing policy in accordance with Iowa Code and acknowledge this with their bid. Preference is given to products and labor from the State of Iowa as required by law. Bids must be submitted to the City's IonWave website before the specified deadline. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, waive informalities and technicalities, and defer acceptance for up to 60 days.
