Site work and paving for a road / highway in Salem, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The work includes the resurfacing of Grieves Parkway as part of the FY 2025 NJDOT Municipal Aid Program in the City of Salem, County of Salem, NJ. The major items of work include approximately 1,450 square yards of HMA milling at variable depth, approximately 260 tons of Hot Mix Asphalt 12.5L64-10R surface course at 3 inches thick, and approximately 750 linear feet of beam guide rail. Each proposal bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, not to exceed $20,000, made payable to the City of Salem. All blank spaces in the proposal must be filled in; no change shall be made in the phraseology of the proposal or items mentioned. All requested information in these specifications must be included with the proposal. All erasures, interpolations, or other physical changes on the bid form must be initialed or signed by the bidder. The successful bidder must furnish, within ten days after award, a Surety Corporation Performance Bond or Letter of Credit equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. All bonds or LOC required must be issued by a surety company listed on the Federal Treasury List and must be acceptable to the City Manager and authorized to do business in New Jersey. Bidders must comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Affirmative Action), P.L. 1963. C150 (New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act), and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Contractors must comply with P.L. 1977, c. 33, and submit a Disclosure Statement listing stockholders with the bid. Contractors and any subcontractors must be registered in accordance with the Public Works Contractor Registration Act. Proof of a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate must be submitted for both contractor and named subcontractors. Bids must be prepared on the provided standard proposal forms and submitted along with a USB of all completed bid forms and attachments in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and labeled appropriately. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities, or to accept the bid that best serves its interest.
