The owner has identified a list fo pre-qualified contractors. Sealed proposal submittals are requested for the redevelopment of the closed Salem Sanitary Landfill. Sealed proposals must include one unbound original, five bound copies, and an electronic version on a flash drive. All proposal documents must be clearly labeled on the outside of the envelope with the specified words and must include the respondent's name, address, and telephone number. Proposals must be delivered by the specified deadline to the City of Salem at the provided address. All questions and inquiries regarding the request for proposals must be submitted by email to the contact provided, and no oral response from any city employee or agent is binding. Addenda or amendments issued during the response period will become part of the request and must be considered in all responses. It is the responsibility of prospective respondents to check for addenda and to ensure timely delivery of proposals. Late submissions will not be considered. The Request for Proposals ("RFP") may be accessed on the City of Salem ("City") website https://cityofsalemnj.gov/ in the section entitled "Employment, Bids & RFPs" beginning December 5, 2025. Written and emailed requests (to sbrown@cityofsalemnj.gov) to have the RFP emailed will also be honored. All questions and/or inquiries regarding the RFP shall be sent by email no later than Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 5:00 PM EST to Sean Brown (sbrown@cityofsalemnj.gov). No oral response to any question by any City of Salem employee or agent shall be binding on the City or in any way considered to be a commitment by the City. Note : A non-mandatory site walk will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 12pm at the entrance to the landfill located at 85 Tilbury Road, Salem, NJ. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
