Renovation of a municipal facility in Swan River, Manitoba. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Municipality of Swan Valley West is accepting bids from contractors for the replacement of a roof on the hall in Kenville. The Kenville Hall experienced partial roof failure during heavy snow load several years ago. Several contractors have reviewed the condition of the roof and have determined that replacement of the roof trusses is the only option to ensure the problem is solved. Therefore we are accepting bids to remove the existing roof, install new trusses and complete the roof system. We recommend a site visit for any bidders. Your bid must include removal of the old roof along with installation of the new roof, insulation and metal cladding. When complete, the south wall must be correctly aligned. Currently it is pushed out due to the roof failure. The interior is to be finished with tiles, drywall, or another product that maintains the height of the interior space as it was originally constructed. We are willing to consider various options for the interior finish. The wood floor inside the building must be protected during construction.
