Site work and new construction of a detention facility in Jackson, Michigan. Completed plans call for the construction of a detention facility; and for site work for a detention facility.
The Department of Technology, Management and Budget on behalf of the Michigan Department of Corrections is seeking a Professional Services Contractor to provide structural engineering design for the installation of a vendor-designed climbing structure to support the facility's tree-trimming training program. The contractor will prepare construction documents and specifications required for bidding and installation. After the bid is awarded, the contractor will validate or revise foundation and connection calculations per the vendor's final requirements, serve as the Engineer of Record, and submit plan review documents to the Authority Having Jurisdiction. Services required include Phases 300 - 700 as outlined in the Request for Proposal. Proposal responses must be uploaded to SIGMA VSS and must include the total cost for all phases as the bid amount. Firms are encouraged to combine technical and cost proposals into a single attachment for submission, and attachments must not exceed 25mb. Submissions will not be accepted after the deadline. If issues arise with electronic submission, the SIGMA Help Desk must be contacted before the deadline. Emailing proposals is only allowed with prior approval and must be received before the deadline.
