The City of Cody is soliciting proposals from qualified playground equipment manufacturers to provide and install playground equipment at the newly created Trailhead Park in Cody, WY. The City is seeking playground equipment with engaging features that emphasize physical activity, elevated play platforms, and high play value. Trailhead Park is a new city park located on Pleasant View Drive just north of the roundabout. The neighborhood is close to being fully built out and demand for a park has been brought to the attention of City Staff. The City has partnered with the Cody Rotary Club to provide funding for the construction of the new park. The proposed playground facilities associated with this RFP should include: o Playground Equipment o Fits within specified area o Prioritizes age range of 5-12 o Minimum 2 stories with elevated platforms o Minimum 2 slides o Minimum 2 climbing features o Minimum 1 monkey bars or horizontal ladder feature o Compatible with multiple fall protective surface types o ADA accessible features o Minimum 15-year warranty on all plastic and steel components o Surfacing: engineered wood fibers (base bid) o Alternate Surfacing (bid alternate #2) o Picnic Shelter (bid alternate #3) o Steel shelter large enough for one standard picnic bench o Low maintenance alternatives that that provide seating and shade will be considered and are encouraged to be included as the bid alternate o Design Intent o Equipment packages shall be proposed to fully utilize proposed play space within fall zone requirements o Vendors shall propose a cohesive theme for all equipment o All equipment must comply with NPSI standards and applicable ASTM/ADA guidelines Questions Due from Vendors April 23, 2026 Responses to Questions Issued April 30, 2026
