Contract No. En-00329-03-09 for Pavement Repairs Between Milepost 149.00 And Milepost 166.00 in Bedford and Fulton Counties This project provides for the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment and work necessary to complete replacement of existing pavement courses. Work items include, but are not limited to: 7,657 Ton Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Wearing Course, PG 64E-22 10 to < 30 Million ESALS, 12.5 MM Mix. 69,642 SY Milling of Asphalt Pavement, 2' Depth 53,144 LF Standard Pavement Markings Paint & Beads (W & Y), 4" 57,441 LF Highly Reflectorized Polyurea Pavement Markings (W & Y), 6" Milepost 149.00 is located approximately 3.5 miles east of the Bedford Interchange, Exit 146 in Bedford County, and Milepost 166.00 is located approximately 13.5 miles west of the Fort Littleton Interchange, Exit 180, in Fulton County, Pennsylvania. An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project. The Provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended, together with the rates and regulations promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry applicable thereto, shall apply to this contract.
