Site work for a water / sewer project in Chelsea, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Project Number Rebid 2026-443 Estimated Cost $6,000,000.00 (3-year total). The City of Chelsea intends to award a contract for Ordinary and Emergency Repair on the City's WSD Systems in various locations throughout the City of Chelsea during the term of this contract. The services shall consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, tools, and materials as directed by Repair Work Authorization(s) based upon the City's needs and emergencies that may arise to make Ordinary and Emergency Repair to the City's WSD Systems. Contract Duration The contract term will commence upon contract execution by all parties, anticipated by July 1, 2026, and run through June 30, 2027 with two additional one-year options, at the sole discretion of the City, from July 1, 2027 - June 30, 2028 and July 1, 2028 - June 30, 2029 respectively. The work to be performed under this Contract consists of completing emergency and non-emergency repairs to the City's sewer, storm drain and water systems. The selection of work tasks to be assigned to the Contractor shall be at the discretion of the City. Sewer and storm drain work will consist primarily of repairs to existing sewer and storm drain lines, relocation of sewer and storm drain lines, repairs to manholes and catch basins, replacement of manholes and catch basins, repairs to laterals and service lines, and other miscellaneous repairs as directed by the City. Water work will consist primarily of repairs to existing water mains, replacement of valves, hydrants and services, furnishing and installing insertion valves when needed, and other miscellaneous repairs as directed by the City. The locations of work under this Contract will occur anywhere within the City limits. The contractor is required to respond on site and commence emergency repairs within one (1) hour of being contacted by the Commissioner of Public Works or his designee unless otherwise directed by the Commissioner. The Contractor must have proven ability to manage work under emergency conditions and more than one location simultaneously. No special payment shall be made for work performed outside of normal business hours or on weekends or holiday Contractor Qualification Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000.
