As of September 22, 2026, an architect and development team has been selected. General contractor bidding has not taken place yet and there is no timeline for when the RFP will be put out. A firm construction timeline has not been determined but it is not expected before Spring 2027. The City of Tucson is seeking interested firms, suppliers, and partners to provide a statement of interest for the redevelopment of the Rondstadt Transit Center. Interested parties are invited to share ideas, concepts, and strategies for the future of this site, which will help shape Downtown Tucson. This is a Request for Information (RFI) meant to inform a future competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) process to be launched in early 2026.
