All proposals must be on file with Tupelo Public School District prior to the opening time, sealed and clearly marked with the project name. At the bidder's option, electronic bids may be submitted. Each bidder must deposit security with their bid, as provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required from the successful bidder. Bidders must comply with the law of the State of Mississippi requiring a Certificate of Responsibility. Resident contractors will be given preference over non-residents as provided by law, and non-resident contractors must include their state's current law regarding non-resident contractors with their proposal. The successful bidder must adhere to the Owner's non-discrimination policy. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bids. Project Timeline: Project Phasing is required. Phasing is noted on the "G" series sheets of the drawings. Each phase will have a separate partial substantial completion date. b. Bid package A - Restroom Renovations consists of all scopes of work involved as shown on the Architectural, Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Electrical Drawings to renovate the restrooms indicated for Buildings A and Buildings B and for required plumbing isolation valves indicated for phase 1 work. 1.) Bid Package A has Bid Alternates associated with package (some bid alternates pertain to other buildings on campus). c. Bid Package B - Science Lab Renovations consists of all scopes of work involved as shown on the Architectural, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical Drawings to renovate the Science Labs in Building B including the scope of work for the Teacher Workroom B247.
