The Port of Peninsula is seeking Statements of Qualifications from licensed environmental and engineering firms for professional services related to acquiring all necessary environmental permitting for maintenance dredging south of the main Port float (approximately 16+ acres, with an estimated removal of 60,000 cubic yards). The work includes environmental planning, reviewing past data, field data collection, possible sediment testing, and assisting in securing funding sources. Scope of work includes: - Review of existing data to avoid duplication and assist with permit acquisition, including developing realistic timelines. - Preparation of Joint Aquatic Resources Permit Application (JARPA) and coordination with Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, Department of Ecology, and US Army Corps of Engineers. - Sampling, testing, and modeling of sediments for contamination compliance. - Developing dredge, dewatering, and disposal options. - Creating bid documents, technical specifications, and providing construction monitoring.
