Site work for a water / sewer project in Blawnox, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Specifications and proposal forms are available for the following projects: Blawnox Valve Replacement, Demolitions of 3 Properties in Etna, and Catch Basin Replacements in Sharpsburg. NHCOG acts as agent for each municipality. A nonrefundable fee is required for specifications, with a higher fee for mailed copies. No documents will be distributed within 24 hours of bid receipt. Sealed bids must be received at the NHCOG office by the specified time, with all bids to be opened and read at that time. NHCOG reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities. Bids must include a Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, or Certified Check made payable to NHCOG in an amount of no less than 10% of the bid. Compliance with federal labor, civil rights, and equal opportunity provisions is mandatory. The project is a Section 3 Project, requiring the use of lower income residents and businesses to the greatest extent feasible. All contracts must include the Section 3 Clause and comply with Federal General Conditions, which apply to all levels of contractors and subcontractors.
