Bath Borough Stormwater Authority is requesting bids for the construction of the Spyglass Hill Road Stormwater Basins 1 & 2 Retrofit and Broad Street Rain Garden, Contract No. 26-01. The work will include, but is not limited to, retrofitting two existing detention basins (basin 1 & 2) in the Holiday Hills Subdivision along Spyglass Hill Road into modern infiltration basins, modification to outlet structure, and replacement of perimeter fencing and gates. It also includes construction of a rain garden within a stormwater easement on the Northampton Area School District property located at the south end of Broad Street. Bidders must submit a bid security in the amount of at least ten percent of the bidder's maximum bid price in the form of a certified check. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be by Addenda and posted within the PennBid Documents. The Work will include but is not limited to, the following: - E. Spyglass Hill Road Stormwater Basins 1 & 2 Retrofit o Existing tree/shrubbery and fencing removal, and protection of the existing easement and shed for basin two. Excavating 16 inches of soil from the basin bottoms, scarifying underlying Stratum B soils, and replacement of the excavated 16 inches of soil with engineered soil media. Installation of new chain link fencing to surround the basin. Seeding and stabilization of the basins. Broad Street Rain Garden Excavating 18 inches of soil, scarifying underlying Stratum B soils, and replacement of the excavated 18 inches of soil with engineered soil media. Construction of a berm with 20-foot spillway. Planting of native grasses (switchgrass) within the rain garden area. Seeding and stabilization of the disturbed area.
