The work consists of roofing system (surfacing, membrane, and insulation) replacement on multiple roof sections totaling approximately 18,000 square feet. The work includes removal and disposal of the existing roofing systems, salvage of existing rigid insulation, installation of new layers of rigid polyisocyanurate insulation atop the existing roof deck or insulation, installation of a new fully-adhered single-ply field and flashing membrane that is 60 mils thick, installation of a new SBS modified bituminous field and flashing membrane, and as-necessary repair or replacement of any roof drains, flashing, pipe boots, counterflashing, expansion joints, and other roof penetrations as needed to ensure the integrity of the roof. The scope also includes removal and replacement of related architectural sheet metal flashing and appurtenances. All potential bidders must be certified by DOA prior to submitting bids on state construction projects with budgets over $100,000. Bids from non-certified contractors will be rejected. Sealed bids must be submitted as a PDF scanned file of all required bid documents with original wet signatures or properly transmitted electronic signatures via the eBuilder Bidding Portal (preferred); by US Mail or third-party delivery to State of Wisconsin, Administration Building, 7th Floor, 101 East Wilson Street, Madison, Wisconsin 53703; or by hand delivery to the drop box labeled SEALED BIDS ONLY at the same location. A formal pre-bid tour will not be conducted, but a site visit is encouraged. Bidding documents will be available online immediately upon the project being advertised for bid.
