A. The Work consists of partial roof replacement at the Rock Haven Nursing Facility in Janesville, Wisconsin for Rock County. 1. Replacement of the shingle roof system within the work area shown in the construction drawings, including all of the included work items listed below. B. Schedule 1. The work shall commence sometime after formal contract award and be completed by October 31, 2026. C. The Work includes: 1. Related sheet metal work a. Installation of new sheet metal slip flashing where the work area abuts an adjacent flat roof. b. All other existing sheet metal shall remain in place and be reused (eave apron, rake edge, headwall, step flashings, etc) 2. Replacement of soil stack flashings with new lead flashings. 3. Repairs to siding and trim of dormer (where marked on the roof plan). On all 3 sides of the dormer, complete the following: a. Wherever components are loose or displaced, install additional fasteners as needed to properly secure and ensure all siding and trim components are adequately fastened. b. Install sealant to all joints with DOW 795 silicone sealant. This applies to all joints within the 3 walls of this dormer: 1) All joints between all trim pieces and wall panels 2) All joints between wood trim and sheet metal trim 3) Louver perimeters 4) Any potential sources of water infiltration (so that all 3 walls are sealed watertight) c. Replace any loose nails and apply dab of sealant over all nails.
