Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and perform all work necessary for the construction of a Carbon Reduction Program (CRP) project for pedestrian lighting along the east bank riverwalk, between W Centerway and E Milwaukee Street. Work includes approximately 350 SF of concrete removal, removal of 28 existing light poles and fixtures, removal of 2000 LF of electrical wiring, installation of 26 new light poles and bases with new lighting fixtures, 350 SF of concrete replacement, 320 LF of trenching and new conduit, 2000 LF of new electrical wiring, a new electrical cabinet, a new photocell, and grass restoration. All work must comply with the terms and conditions set forth by federal and state granting agencies. The bidder must have an Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity policy and reference FHWA form 1273 under section II.1.b. Federal Wage rates are required. A sworn affidavit of non-collusion is required. The prime contractor must perform at least 30 percent of the original contract amount with its own organization as defined in the WisDOT Standard Specifications. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check equal to 10 percent of the bid or a bid bond in equal amount, payable to the City as guaranty that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and performance bond within ten days. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the check or bid bond as liquidated damages. All work must be performed in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contracts on file with the City Clerk.
