In general, the work consists of replacement of the existing air handling unit cooling coil, replacement of the existing air-cooled condensing unit with a new air-cooled chiller on the adjacent roof at the exterior, and providing associated glycol fill station, expansion tanks, buffer tanks, pumps, piping, piping specialties, controls, and electrical connections for this equipment. The project scope also includes installation of an interior concrete housekeeping pad for equipment installations. All potential bidders must become certified by DOA prior to submitting bids on state construction projects with budgets over $100,000. Sealed bids will be received as a PDF scanned file of all required bid documents submitted via the eBuilder Bidding Portal (preferred), or by US Mail, third-party delivery, or hand delivery to the specified address. The bidder is responsible for ensuring the sealed bid is delivered or submitted before the specified deadline. Bid opening will be conducted via Microsoft Teams. Construction bidding documents may be obtained electronically from the Division of Facilities Development website. Additional project bidding information is available on the Division's public website. Contract offer and construction phase records will be processed electronically via eBuilder. A non-mandatory pre-bid tour is scheduled. Contractors wishing to attend must have background checks completed at least one week prior and provide a list of names and companies for the gate memo. Anyone bringing a cell phone must have it pre-approved, and only one per business will be allowed after pre-approval. Instructions for completing background checks are provided, and only necessary personnel should submit the electronic form. No verbal explanation or instructions will be given in regard to the meaning of the drawings or specifications during the bid period. Bidders shall bring inadequacies, omissions or conflicts to the Architect/Engineer's attention at least ten (10) days before the date set for bid opening. Prompt clarification will be supplied to all bidders of record by addendum.
