Convert the heating source of the Chemistry Building from steam to campus low temperature hot water. The heating hot water system will have a decoupled connection from the Low Temperature Hot Water system (LTHW). Contractor shall provide a complete control system; including all controls, instrument panels, instruments, in-line mounted devices, pumps, valves, tubing, wells, taps, and other mechanical interfaces required for control equipment. Contractor is responsible for installing the control panel fabricated by others, wiring control power and instrument wiring for field devices, and tagging and labeling installed equipment and wiring. Sealed bids for a lump-sum contract are invited subject to conditions prescribed by the University. Only bidders who participate in both the mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and Job Walk in their entirety will be allowed to bid as prime contractors. The successful bidder must have a current and active California B - General Building Contractor license at the time of bid submission. Compliance with nondiscrimination, prevailing wage, small business and disabled veteran business enterprise participation, and Department of Industrial Relations registration are required. The project is public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code and compliance monitoring. Bids must be submitted by the specified deadline and at the designated location.
