The Contractor shall remove and take ownership of the existing chiller, disconnecting it from power, controls, piping, and mounting, and preparing the location for the new chiller. Legal and lawful disposal of the chiller must include refrigerant recovery and dismantling for recycling or appropriate disposition. The Contractor shall provide a temporary chiller while the replacement is underway. The new chiller must be microprocessor controlled, feature multiple-scroll compressors, be air-cooled, and meet scheduled capacities as indicated on the Drawings, covering the chiller package, electrical power and control connections, and chilled water connections. All work must comply with the International Mechanical Code, ASHRAE, Kentucky Building Code with current revisions, Americans with Disabilities Act, International Building Code, and National Electrical Code. The Owner prefers a Monday-Friday 8-hour daily work schedule, with no work on weekends. A 48-hour notification is required for any outage of existing utilities, and any damaged utilities must be restored immediately. Bidders must submit all required items with their bid, as listed in the submission checklist. Only online bid submissions will be accepted, with the official bid document and any required bid bond uploaded as a single PDF attachment in the e-procurement system. Bidders must review and update account information before submission, as this will carry forward to the contract if awarded.
