This request for proposal is for a Hardware and Consumable shop stock vendor for Storey County Fleet Service. The duties of this bid include, but are not limited to: quoting pricing on a provided list of items for specified quantities; checking and ordering hardware and consumable stock bi-weekly or as agreed upon by Storey County and the awarded vendor; labeling stocked hardware and consumables with their part number and stocking levels on stockroom shelving; using one hardware and consumable vendor to service as much of the Storey County Fleet Shop as possible, with the County reserving the right to use other vendors or manufacturers when necessary; providing and stocking hardware and consumables for a 24-month period, with the option to extend or rebid at the end of the term; providing governmental fleet pricing; stating if storage equipment and fixtures would be provided or must be purchased by Storey County; noting any unavailable or substituted items in the proposal; and ensuring proposals include all requested items, conform to standards specifications, and are responsive, accurate, and reasonable in cost. The selected vendor will provide hardware and shop consumable materials and manage the stock including any changeover of storage fixtures as required.
