Site work for a mixed-use development in Redondo Beach, California. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and water / sewer project.

The work comprises, without limitation, furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and other incidental and appurtenant work necessary to install infiltration systems, including drywells, hydrodynamic separators, and check valves as called out in the plans, HDPE pipe, diversion structures, trench drains, and other associated work for the Fulton Playfield Multi-Benefit Infiltration Project. The project will involve modifying the existing weir chamber and flood control basin, construction of a hydrodynamic separator, drywells and connecting storm drain infrastructure, and installation of an inlet check valve. Bioretention features to capture additional runoff and parkway landscaping will also be constructed along Rindge and Earle Ln. All temporary utility services for light, power, sanitary facilities, and water for the duration of the project, and their removal at project conclusion, are also required. The contractor must provide a 24-hour emergency contact for removal, installation, relocation, and maintenance of warning devices. All required permits, insurance, bonds, and certifications must be obtained by the contractor. Mobilization includes site review, all preparations, and temporary facilities needed for the work. The City reserves the right to adjust unit quantities and scope of work as necessary to meet project and budgetary requirements. Contractors must have an active Class "A" license, a minimum of 5 years of applicable experience, and 5 recently completed similar public works projects at the time of submitting the bid. The project must be completed and ready for service within 120 working days after the Notice to Proceed is issued. All work is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations, and prevailing wage requirements apply. Proposals must be submitted electronically using the City's procurement portal. All documents and required information, including bid bond and subcontractor list, must be complete and in accordance with requirements. Questions about documents or specifications must be submitted through the portal at least ten working days prior to bid opening. Bids will be publicly opened electronically. Payment at the agreed prices will be in full for completed work and will cover materials, supplies, labor, tools, equipment, and all other expenditures incident to satisfactory compliance with the contract. The City may reject any or all proposals and will award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder meeting all requirements. Substitutions of specified products require written request at least ten working days before bid date and approval via addendum.
