Remodeling of a mixed-use development in Redondo Beach, California. Completed plans call for the remodel of a fitness / recreation center.
Interior remodel and minor structural improvements to an existing building, including the relocation of the Medically Accredited BCHD Center for Health & Fitness to the existing 510 N. Prospect Building (top floor). This involves transforming existing medical office space into areas for fitness and health programs. Estimated construction cost is $5,600,000. Instructions to bidders: - Contractors must have a Class B (General Contracting) license at the time of bid submission. - All bidders and their subcontractors of any tier must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. - Each bid must include bid security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid proposal. - Bids cannot be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after opening. - Attendance at one of two mandatory job walks is required for all bidders. - A Labor and Materials Payment Bond and Performance Bond are each required in the amount of 100% of the contract amount. - Contractors and all subcontractors must pay prevailing wage rates. - Substitution of eligible securities for retention is permitted under specified conditions. - The contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder submitting the lowest responsive bid proposal.
