The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on July 23, 2026, at 8:00 AM at the Region One/District One Office in Schaumburg. Phase III engineering services are required to provide construction engineering for subject project. The proposed improvements consist of bridge repairs on I-290/IL 53 over I-90 (016-0977), I-290/IL 53 over Golf Road (016-0980), I-290/IL 53 over Woodfield Road (016-0978 & 016-0979, I-290/IL 53 over Higgins Road (016-0982 & 016-0983). Additionally, the project include pavement patching, roadway resurfacing, ramp resurfacing, Frontage Road resurfacing, storm sewer cleaning, ditch regrading and lighting improvement between IL 62 (Algonquin Road) to IL 72 (Higgins Road) to located in the Village of Schaumburg and City of Rolling Meadows, Cook County. The following structures are included in this project: o S.N. 016-0977: I-290/IL53 over I-90 o S.N. 016-0980: I-290/IL 53 over IL 58 (Golf Road) o S.N. 016-0978: SB I-290/ IL53 over Woodfield o S.N. 016-0979: NB I-290/ IL53 over Woodfield o S.N. 016-0982: SB I-290/IL 53 over IL 72 (Higgins Road) o S.N. 016-0983: NB I-290/IL 53 over IL 72 (Higgins Road) The Prime firm must be prequalified in the following categories to be considered for this project: Highways (Roads and Streets) Location Design Studies (Reconstruction/Major Rehabilitation) Structures (Highway: Advanced Typical) The Prime firm must be prequalified in the Special Services (Construction Inspection) category to be considered for this project. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
