The County Commission of New Madrid County, Missouri is accepting bids for a two-phase project at #2 Courthouse Square and 350 US Highway 61, New Madrid, Missouri. Phase One requires labor to disconnect the existing transfer switch and power generator (100 kW, 208 Volt, three-phase unit) at #2 Courthouse Square. This includes coordinating with a local propane supplier to drain the 1,000-gallon tank, with Liberty Utilities to safely disconnect natural gas lines, and with the City of New Madrid to reconnect the building to the power supply after the generator is disconnected. The physical relocation of the generator will be managed by the County Highway Department after Phase One. Phase Two requires labor and materials to connect the transfer switch and generator at 350 US Highway 61 on a pre-poured concrete pad. Bidders may submit multiple bids for this phase, noting price differences between using copper or aluminum electrical wiring. The natural gas piping may require a separate gas meter and regulator(s). Coordination with Liberty Utilities is required for reconnecting gas lines, and with the City of New Madrid to properly interconnect the power supply and generator. Sealed bids must be submitted to the New Madrid County Commission by the stated deadline.
