Renovation of a bridge / tunnel in North Port, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a bridge / tunnel.
The City of North Port is requesting sealed bids to secure the services of an experienced, professional, licensed, and qualified Contractor capable of providing construction services to rehabilitate Bridge No. 175000 North Port Boulevard over Cocoplum Waterway. The types of rehabilitation work anticipated include concrete spall and crack repair, pretension strand repair, reconstruction of bridge approach slabs, joint replacement, milling and resurfacing of bridge deck, and other tasks as described in the Contract Drawings and Specifications. This is a federally assisted project and is subject to Federal Labor Standards which include, the Davis-Bacon Act (payment of prevailing wage rates) and the Copeland Act (anti-kickback of wages & submission of weekly certified payroll reports), as well as other provisions including 2 CFR 200 (bonding requirements), and Section 3 & M/WBE.
