Each year the City of Kitchener upgrades its underground services to current standards by performing complete roadway reconstruction on selected streets as part of its Full Reconstruction Program. Additionally, other roads are resurfaced and improved through the Road Rehabilitation Program without replacing the existing underground infrastructure. To support the design and budgeting of these projects, a qualified geotechnical consultant is sought to conduct geotechnical investigations and supply engineering design reports for various projects in these two programs. The goal is to complete investigations for the anticipated 2027 Road Rehabilitation Program, 2028 Watermain Program, and 2028 and 2029 Full Reconstruction/Laneway Program to identify subsurface elements well before detailed design or construction. The information from these investigations and reports will be used by City staff and other consultants for the overall design of these projects. Submission instructions specify that online submissions are required and that some bid documents may require registration or a subscription to access.
