Sealed bids are to be submitted for the construction of the Fowler Luthier Expansion at the Fowler Family Southside Center, 511 E 3rd St, Bethlehem, PA 18015. Bids are required for Contract #1 Single Prime - General Construction, which includes Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Electrical Construction. The work involves demolition of select interior walls, doors, finishes, ceilings, light fixtures, and associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components. New construction includes new walls, doors, flooring, paint, ceilings, casework, finishes, and associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work. All bids must be submitted electronically and accompanied by bid security equal to 10% of the base bid amount in the form of a bid bond. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract value with satisfactory corporate surety, are required from the successful bidders before contract execution. Surety companies must be listed on the Treasury Department's current list (Circular 570) and authorized to operate in the project's state. Bids may not be modified, withdrawn, or concealed for sixty days after opening, except as provided by law, and up to 120 days if approval or grants necessitate a delay. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or waive any irregularities or defects in any bid. This project is subject to the applicable prevailing wage requirements or the Davis-Bacon Act as amended (40 USC276a to 276a-7).
