Sealed bids are invited for a project on behalf of Avon Theatre Film Center Inc and the State of Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development, identified as Urban Act Project #2024-135-094-10002 and Good to Great Project #GTG-03123. Bidders must submit a bid bond for five percent of the base bid for contracts exceeding $50,000, with successful bidders providing a one hundred percent Performance Bond and Payment Bond for such contracts, along with a Certificate of Insurance covering the project duration for all required parties. State of CT DAS Prequalification certification is mandatory for bid packages over $1,000,000. Prevailing wages apply. Plans, specifications, and addenda are available online via the BuildingConnected page and Dodge Construction Network; a review copy is also available by appointment at the construction company’s office. Awarding of bids will follow CT DECD guidelines. The right to reject any or all bids is reserved. Bidders must provide proof of compliance with Connecticut General Statute 4a-60g, demonstrating participation in CHRO goals for 25% SBE and 6.25% MBE/WBE involvement. Certified SBE, MBE, WBE, DBE, Disabled Owned, Veteran Owned, Section 3, and other set aside business enterprises are strongly encouraged to bid.
