Purpose of the Contract 1.1 The OMHM is conducting an open public tender for roof repair work at the Habitation De Montmagny, located at 6245 Jogues Street in the Ville-Emard borough, Montreal, QC, H4E 4J2. 1.2 The project consists of performing all work in accordance with the contract documents. Without limitation, the scope of work includes replacing the existing multi-ply asphalt-gravel roofing system with a new white elastomeric membrane system. 1.2.1. Existing roof with extensive lean-to structures and telecommunications equipment; 1.2.2. The contractor shall be responsible for coordinating the work sequence with the supplier and manager of the telecommunications facilities; 1.2.3. Demolition of the existing structure, taking care to protect existing installations and outbuildings; 1.2.4. The organization and execution of the work must be carried out in consultation between the two parties, namely the successful contractor and the telecommunications facilities manager; 1.2.5. Roof replacement work must be performed at all times in the presence of the telecommunications facilities manager and/or their workers; 1.2.6. The handling, relocation, and/or removal of telecommunications equipment shall be the sole responsibility of the manager of said telecommunications equipment and/or their employees; 1.2.7. The contractor must not move, cut, or modify equipment, cables, or conduits at any time without the authorization of the telecommunications facilities manager; 1.2.8. Mr. Alain Ducharme of the OMHM will be the primary contact and point of responsibility for any questions regarding telecommunications facilities. Mr. Ducharme will be responsible for communicating information and coordinating with the Advisor and Operations Manager for the telecommunications facilities of these three service providers: TELUS, ROGERS, and VIDEOTRON 1.2.9. During the work, for any modification, relocation, and/or addition to the telecommunications facilities, the successful contractor must at all times communicate and/or correspond solely with the OMHM contact person; 1.2.10 As part of the work on the roof, the contractor must move, lift, and/or remove all existing cable TV cables and/or satellite dishes on the building's roof in coordination with the OMHM representative. The disconnection/connection, wiring, and, if applicable, reinstallation of cable television and/or the reorientation of relocated antennas on the roof will be the responsibility of the tenants 1.3 The work will be performed in a building consisting of an 8-story residential tower with 89 units intended for seniors. The building is constructed of steel, concrete, and brick and was built in 1975. o A 692 m2 building erected on a 3,316 m2 lot. o Outdoor parking only, covering an area of 674 m2. o Roof area of 692 m2. Living area of 4,242 m2. 1.4 The units will be occupied during construction. 2. Duration of Construction 2.1 According to the current schedule, construction is expected to begin upon signing the letter of commitment; however, this date may be changed by the OMHM. In such a case, the change may not be used to justify a request for additional compensation by the contractor. 2.2 The work must be completed within a maximum of 120 working days from the confirmed start date specified in the letter of commitment.
