The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of exterior entry and security doors (excluding apparatus bay doors), frames, hardware, door closers, and related components at Fire Station 2, located at 26625 S. State Highway 47, Warrenton, Missouri. Work must be carried out while maintaining continuous fire station operations. Bidders are advised that the Warrenton Fire Protection District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive informalities, request additional information, negotiate with proposers, or cancel the request for proposals if deemed in the best interest of the District. The purpose of this project is to enhance : Security for personnel and equipment Durability under heavy use Energy efficiency Code compliance and life safety The Contractor shall provide all labor , materials , tools , and supervision necessary to remove existing exterior doors and frames and install new commercial -grade door assemblies suitable for a 24/7 emergency response facility . Work areas may include : o North Bay man door o West Bay man door o Kitchen French doors o All door closers Remove and properly dispose of existing doors , frames , and hardware Furnish and install new door and frame assemblies Coordinate work to maintain continuous station operation and security Provide temporary security measures if doors are removed during work Door and Frame Specifications- Doors shall be heavy -duty , insulated steel (minimum 18-gauge ) o Frames shall be welded steel frames anchored to existing structure o Doors shall be designed for high -cycle use typical of emergency facilities o Provide vision panels (tempered or laminated safety glass ) where required o Fire -rated assemblies shall be provided where applicable Security and Access Control oIntegrate with existing access control systems where applicable o Ensure doors automatically secure upon closing o Provide fail -safe/fail -secure hardware as required by code o Coordinate with Owner for keying and electronic access requirements Installation Requirements Verify all field measurementsprior to fabrication Install assembliesplumb , level, and square o Ensure tight weather seals and proper drainage o Adjust doors for smooth , reliable operation o Minimize downtime of critical access points
