The project involves the expansion of the University of Kentucky HealthCare Chandler facility, focusing on Early Sequence Package 3.0: Fuel Tank Relocation. The scope of work includes the construction of a 2.08 million SF, 895 bed facility, accommodating additional inpatient beds and clinical support services, including adult and pediatric inpatient rooms, observation spaces, operating rooms, diagnostic and imaging services, pharmacy, retail, lab, administration, support, and meeting spaces. Specifically, the ESP-3.0 work includes adding two new fuel tanks next to the existing heating and cooling plant and installing underground piping to connect the new system to the existing one. The existing fuel tanks will remain in place and be removed under another scope package. Trade categories available for bidding in this package are General Trades and Plumbing & Mechanical. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than five (5%) percent of the amount of the base bid. A 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond shall be furnished by the successful bidder.
