Mexichem Fluor Inc. (MFI) is working under Department of Energy Grant DE-MS0000009 to design, engineer, plan and build a Lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF6) plant in Louisiana. MFI intends to issue a request for quotation (RFQ) for a plate and frame exchanger to transfer heat between two fluids using a series of thin metal plates clamped together in a frame, with the fluids flowing in alternating channels. Materials of construction will be stainless steel. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. "Requests for proposals for design services is underway."
