Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Columbus, Georgia. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
Owner owns and operates the FBWTP on Fort Benning Army Post and the NCWRF in Columbus, Georgia. Both facilities face current or anticipated regulatory requirements related PFAS that necessitate implementation of new PFAS treatment facilities and associated improvements. At FBWTP, pilot testing and preliminary engineering have identified granular activated carbon ("GAC") as the selected PFAS treatment technology. At NCWRF, PFAS improvements will be designed to meet Owner's regulatory and operational objectives for that facility. This project is for Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) services for the preconstruction and construction of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) Treatment Improvements at the Fort Benning Water Treatment Plant (FBWTP) and the North Columbus Water Resources Facility (NCWRF). The owner operates both facilities, which face regulatory requirements for PFAS. The project will be delivered as a two-phase program under a single CMAR contract.
